This website is a journey of realisation

Realising that an imperfect somethingis better than a perfect nothing

Putting out this website wasn't easy. I had a lot of reasons and excuses to not put it out. "It won't be good enough" was probably the main excuse. But perhaps you're a natural risk-taker kind of guy, you might be asking me.

What are you so concerned about?
It's just 1 out of 130+ million over *active* websites in the world.

Well, here's a little sneak peak into some things that I was worrying about:

  • Choosing the right picture since first impressions matter on this Earth
  • Knowing what to write about so you don't come off weird
  • Making sure you write well enough to keep short attention spans
  • Selecting the right colour scheme, shades of black and white matter
  • Writing clean code and making sure the site displays perfectly on every device including them god-forsaken 12" laptops. Stupid wannabe tablets.

And even after I've managed to figure all that out to some extent, you might be thinking to yourself.

Well, this site is mediocre. Subpar at best.
Better off buying a WordPress template bruv.

Well, first of all, the word WordPress is forbidden on this site. From henceforth, we shall no longer mention the word W***P**ss. Second of all, for a non-designer, I think my font combination was pretty decent no?
*I sincerely and wholeheartedly appreciate any and all design advice 😬*

But here's the thing!
Throwing in a lil' right align text? Soony-boy here clearly needs some UI/UX 101.

Now that I've managed to put this website up, at least now I have set a benchmark for myself.

And isn't that how improvement begins?

  1. Start.
  2. Set a benchmark.
  3. Exceed it.
  4. Set a new one.
  5. Rinse and repeat.
  6. Achieve mastery.

Let's face it, there'll always be room for improvement. It'll never be good enough. But that's no reason to never start.

Better late than never.
Better now than later.
